Doubao AI Phone to Launch Multiple Models This Year, Debuting at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference

ByteDance, in collaboration with ZTE Nubia, is set to release several models of its first AI smart body phone (Doubao AI Smart Body Phone) this year. One of these models will be showcased during the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, with an overall stock of approximately 200,000 units, and the initial batch limited to under 100,000 units. The first generation of Doubao phones (Nubia M153 Technology Preview Version) was released on December 1, 2025, primarily positioned as an engineering prototype, with a very limited stock of about 30,000 units. Once sold out, there will be no additional production, and the second-hand market price once soared to 7,999 yuan, far exceeding the official price of 3,499 yuan. Supply chain insiders indicate that the stock for this generation of products far exceeds that of the previous generation, with some components exceeding one million units. However, due to rising costs of upstream components, the stock volume has undergone multiple adjustments, decreasing from an initial estimate of 300,000 to around 200,000 units.
