AI Wars Forked Entry Enters Key Phase as 8–10 AI Strategies Per Group Compete for a Single Final Spot
As the AI Wars · WEEX Alpha Awakens hackathon moves deeper into its live trading phase, Forked Entry competition has officially commenced, marking the final and only late-stage competitive segment of the event.
Forked Entry is designed for builders who completed their strategy preparation but missed the early bird entry window. Instead of absorbing late participants into existing groups, WEEX has launched a parallel competitive fork, allowing strategies to compete under equivalent conditions with full exposure to real market dynamics.
This article explains how Forked Entry operates, how the preliminary stage is structured, and what resources are provided to participating teams.
What Is Forked Entry?
Forked Entry is an independent preliminary track within the WEEX AI Trading Hackathon.
Instead of acting as a supplement or extension of the early bird round, Forked Entry operates as a standalone competitive branch, with:
- Independent group assignments
- Dedicated capital allocation
- A fixed live trading window
- Identical advancement criteria
All strategies deployed through Forked Entry run in real market conditions, using actual trading infrastructure. Performance is evaluated solely on execution results.
Only the top-performing strategy in each group advances to the final stage.
Forked Entry Timeline (UTC+8)
Forked Entry follows a clearly defined and non-extendable schedule:
- Registration deadline: January 18, 2026, 23:59
- Competition start: January 19, 2026, 12:00
- Competition end: January 30, 2026
This is the last registration window for AI Wars. No additional entry rounds will be opened.
Competition Format and Rules
Each Forked Entry group is structured to ensure direct competition under comparable conditions:
- 8–10 AI strategies (BUIDLs) per group
- 1,000 USDT allocated to each BUIDL
- Continuous live trading for 2 weeks
- Top 1 BUIDL per group advances to the finals
There are no simulated environments or paper trades. Strategies must demonstrate stability, risk control, and consistency across varying market conditions.
Prize Pool Overview
Preliminary Prize Pool Overview
Rather than a single cash-based reward, the preliminary stage of AI Wars is supported by a resource-backed prize pool with a total allocation of approximately $889,740.
This pool is structured as a multi-layered support system, with each component designed to address a specific stage of AI trading development — from infrastructure and data access to live execution and strategy validation.

Preliminary Prize Pool & Infrastructure Support Overview | ||||
Partner / Provider | Resource Type | Resource Allocation | Allocation Details | Notes |
| AWS | Cloud Computing Credits | $600,000 | Covers 20–120 teams | Cloud credits supporting AI model training, backtesting, and multi-instance deployment, forming the computational foundation of the competition. |
| WEEX | Futures Trading Vouchers | $200,000 | 1,000 USDT × 200 teams Granted after API testing completion | Provides real trading capital to ensure strategies are tested under live market conditions rather than in simulated environments. |
| Hubble AI | Agent Marketplace Credits | $10,000 | Track-specific participation rewards | Supports teams using agent-based or modular AI strategy architectures through marketplace credits. |
| CoinGecko | Analyst API Access | $7,740 | 30 API keys 2-month access per key | Offers stable and professional market data access for analysis, monitoring, and strategy evaluation. |
| Cryptoracle | Quantitative Factor Library (API) | $72,000 | Up to 80 concurrent API calls Open to all participants 7,000+ factors | Provides advanced quantitative factor data for signal generation, modeling, and strategy optimization. |
Total Prize Pool Overview
In addition to the preliminary resource pool, AI Wars is supported by a separate, competition-wide total prize pool of up to $1.88 million. Flagship rewards in the final stage include high-profile prizes such as a Bentley Bentayga S, designated for the ultimate AI trading champion.
The total prize pool is reserved for top-performing teams advancing through the full competition lifecycle. While the preliminary round emphasizes infrastructure support, data access, and live execution resources, the total prize pool rewards long-term performance, strategy robustness, and final rankings.
Who Should Join Forked Entry?
Forked Entry is suitable for teams and individuals who:
- Have a production-ready AI trading strategy
- Seek real-market validation rather than theoretical testing
- Prefer a condensed, high-intensity competitive environment
Because the trading window is shorter and competition is direct, Forked Entry places greater emphasis on execution quality and robustness.
Live Competition Watch
In AI Wars, time is not simply a constraint — it is a strategic variable.
With Forked Entry now underway, the competition has entered its late-stage phase, where AI trading strategies are tested in real markets and performance differences begin to surface.
In parallel with the live competition, WEEX has launched a match viewing activity, inviting users to follow the Forked Entry battles, engage with live updates, and participate in ongoing discussions around strategy performance and rankings.
